Sometimes it feels like I’m dreaming... When I was young, I always kinda knew I wanted to be an artist due to the love I had for art, but I didn’t know it’d be acting. Being an actor never crossed my mind until I was 13, because I just thought it was playing and play fighting with monsters as a kid. I did ATAR Drama and I went to uni for the first time in 2016 and after I failed that year, I remember getting told I should not be pursuing acting and I should do something else with my life (this wasn’t the first time I heard this), plus the repeat of failing in 2018... 7 years later I made myself, my mother, my family and close friends proud - I have managed to make a career out of acting and the journey to get here has been WORTH every piece of blood, sweat and tears. On Monday the 7th of April this year at the @performingartswaawards - I got a clean sweep in nominations for the acting category which was a surreal feeling; Nominations: Best Lead in a Leading Roll (Brothers Wreck), Best Support in a Supporting Roll (Songbird), and Outstanding Newcomer (Theatre). I WON OUTSTANDING NEWCOMER! 💫 I am so proud of myself and everyone involved on my journey who has been there for me through thick and thin. I couldn’t have done this without my support network. This was an awesome night, I couldn’t be more grateful. 😁

Be Street Smart! 🚙 On the 25th of March this year I had the awesome task of being apart of the Be Street Smart event hosted by RAC at @racarena . I got this gig through my anchor job - Constable Care. We showed the crowd of over 18, 000 school students over 2 days, a real life scenario of an alcohol influenced car crash incident - and what to do when experiencing this emergency. This was sooooo much fun! One of our actor friends had to sit with her chin touching her chest with fake blood in her mouth for 30 odd minutes; another actor’s character had passed at the scene and had to lay in fake blood pretending to be dead for 35-45 minutes before leaving the stage (imagine the breath work needed - to play dead for that long). It was a massive effort all around with the tasks actors were given in a very short time frame. Channel 9 & 10 News also appeared at the event to highlight the issue of our roads and safety. It was more than awesome working with real Emergency Service Crew; seeing how they are as people, as well as in their line of profession. I hope to do it again next year! 🤯😤

When I got told I got the role of Ruben for Brothers Wreck I immediately had a surge of energy going through me like I won the lottery. I had been dreaming about playing a big roll; a lead roll for a while now, and I wanted to see how far I could actually push my talents - to see if I was a person that had what it took. I put everything into this performance and I mean that, blood, sweat, tears (quite literally if I’m honest). I enjoyed working on this soooooooo much and I really do miss the people and the show. 😁 @yirra_yaakin This performance ran from the 5th July - 20 July (2024) and it is one that’ll always stick with me in some capacity, it’s true a milestone in my career and that’s a testament to my foundation: proud is an understatement. 💯

Last year (2024) @yirra_yaakin took Songbird on Tour to various places all over W.A! 🚌 I had the best time and I am very grateful for the opportunity of it. I chose only 10 because I thought Instagram still had a limit of how many you can pick, I just chose the ones taken on the film cam 🤨😂 The places we performed were: Carnarvon (Camel Lane Theatre), Exmouth (Federation Park), Harvey (Harvey Recreation and Cultural Centre), Merridin (Cummins Theatre), W.A Museum, Albany (Albany Entertainment Centre), Bunbury (Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre)!

27 today huh? Well... it only felt like yesterday I was 17 with the boys running amuck and feeling like we were on top of the world with our mischievous activites. Oh. How. Time. Flies. I can’t honestly believe I have lived 27 years on this Earth, with so much more time to go. It felt like I had no idea where or what I wanted to be in the future, only 5 years ago... But, now I know. I know my purpose in this life. My purpose is to tell stories, create change and impact the emotional scaffold of others for the greater good. I’m finally understanding. I have a had a very rough up-bringing growing up, which stunted what others would call a normal childhood. It bled into my teenage and early adult years, and I wasn’t the best soul around to even just talk to. Why am I writing this on my birthday when it’s meant to be a day of joy? Well... It’s because I want to thank each and every one of you who ever believed in me and my dreams, because I know for a fact, I am only here because of the support I have received. Other’s might not get lucky and I have seen it. If you have ever helped me when I was stuck, asked me how my day was, hung out just for some company, congratulated me after a perfomance or just talked to get to know me. I appreciate and thank you. You all know who you are. Happy 27th to me, all love ❤

I don’t know why I’m so obsessed with black and white. Life is always in color, but black and white feels more real. With @t.maclou #photoshoot #headshots #photography #b&w #moody

Wow!!!! My first ever professional theatre production! I am so happy to be apart of this show, working with a team of young creatives! The process has been nothing short of amazing and I just love giving my all to a role, especially of this calibre. To be able to tell black stories from a black lens means so much to me. WE WILL AND ALWAYS BE HEARD‼️ The show is called Songbird (written by Shakara Walley) and the themes revolve around, grief, love and forgiveness. This show is on for another week @subiacoartscentre presented by @yirra_yaakin ! We go on tour throughout regional WA to communities from May 7th! Tickets are linked in my BIO! ❤️ - 1 week to go! 📸 @torilillphoto
