On October 11, 2025, Jason and I went to see Paul McCartney with a few friends at Coors Field in Denver- and I still can’t get over it✨
Paul played for almost three hours, and at 83 years old he absolutely rocked it. A packed stadium of nearly 50,000 people of every age and background, all singing along to songs we grew up with. Every one of us different, yet united by the same love for The Beatles and what they stood for.
Hearing these songs live from an actual Beatle was incredible, but my favorite part was listening to Paul tell stories. I couldn’t get enough! I’m getting emotional just thinking about it. This one, in particular, stayed with me, and I’m so grateful I caught it on video.
After a 1964 incident in Jacksonville, The Beatles added a clause to all future U.S. contracts stating they would not perform for segregated audiences. They refused to play unless everyone could be together. That’s what’s right in this world -people who stand up.
As a young girl, I didn’t fall in love with The Beatles just for the music. I fell in love with what they stood for. Their courage helped teach me to be brave and to stand up to the injustice I saw around me. I will always stand up for myself and for others.
Forever grateful Jason and I got to experience this night. ❤️
