Petronas F1 – Delta
To ‘Delta' means "to move in another direction". Envisioning this concept, we utilised sharp angular lines to aesthetically contribute as a component that leans into fast-paced bursts of energy, whilst employing aggressive motions of glitches and linework to showcase the relentless power the car has over its environment.
We produced this spot for Petronas’ F1 team in UE and C4D, honing in on various different features and workflows. Utilising Niagara, we created real-time fluid simulations and of course used UE's amazing lighting and rendering technology. The motion design was produced in C4D and then the images were composited using a mixture of UE-to-Nuke and After Effects to create the final product.

We built the Synctum edit suite to feel less like a facility and more like a place you actually want to spend a full day cutting in. The room can be fully blacked out for focused editing, colour decisions and finishing work, then opened up into a brighter, comfortable space for collaborative reviews and relaxed client sessions.
Same room, two completely different working moods, designed to adapt to the people in it.

Many years ago, we were two boys with a dream to work in the film industry, freshly enrolled in film school. Declan set his sights on becoming a pioneering visual effects artist and Jonny chased the title of big-shot film director...
From the idea of producing virtual production commercials and music videos we found the industry's need for creative visual effects, premium 2D & 3D animation, and fluid motion design - we created Synctum.
Fast forward only 2 years and we have created content with some of the biggest brands on the planet, working on over 10 Car Commercials in the last 1.5 years, 4 Movies, a TV Show and a Kids Webseries, as well as having worked with global brands in all areas of automotive, beauty, fashion, commercial, food, beverage and lifestyle to name a few.
We like to think of Synctum as a "Design & Direction Company" - a creative studio that leads you in the right direction. We work on projects from start to finish, producing creative ideation for campaigns, managing projects and clients and handling workflows from pre-production to post-production.
As of today, we're competing on briefs against companies that are decades old, proving that we can deliver the best on 2D & 3D Animation, VFX, Motion Design, Video and Creative Content.
