I look back and marvel at how much I’ve grown, how far I’ve come, and how determined I’ve remained. I remember my resilient, consistent, ever‑agile self. I remember the days when life felt overwhelming, when I didn’t want to watch a movie or read a book I just wanted to cry because life was a lot. Yet even then, I sat myself down, advised myself, and pushed myself forward. I spoke out loud to remind myself that I am not allowed to fail.
Now I look at myself and smile is this really that little girl with big dreams? I nod and cheer because I am heading somewhere. I am proud of how wise I’ve become, how hardworking I am, and how cheerful I remain. I love that whenever people are with me, all they feel is happiness, all they want is to laugh because life is too short to live in anger.
I love how I’ve created a safe space for the people close to me, and how I’ve welcomed wonderful souls into my life. I am grateful for how I’ve improved physically, psychologically, emotionally, mentally, financially, and most importantly, in my prayer life because truly, it is God who runs it all. My Sky Daddy has carried me, and for that I am deeply thankful.
I am grateful for everything and everyone in my life. Cheers to my new age, to my melanin glow, to my evolving self. 🥂✨
