Finally tried Tomita Shokudo which is famous for their tsukemen, it was incredible but SO MUCH FOOD. The broth is a super thick amaebi and tonkatsu base, served with two kinds of chashu and egg. The gyoza are super fresh and almost like soup dumplings!
Yes it’s as magical as it looks. They’re so sweet. The old mama curled up in my lap and stayed for 15 minutes and more of them kept piling on to nap on top of her till I had 4 in my lap.
My friends took me to a single origin coffee place that sources from East Timor, I ordered an affogato and had no idea why it took 15 minutes till this amazing fresh jellied espresso affogato came out. It’s so magical!
Took a wrong turn looking for the park entrance in Hakone and stumbled across a Nobu Matsuhisa restaurant! Red snapper, turnip soup, red daikon cashew salad, foie gras, A4 Wagyu with wasabi black pepper roux, and chestnut tiramisu. Probably the best lunch I’ve ever had!
Been staying in the guest suite at my old friend’s building in Matsudo the last three days and last night they made home style sukiyaki. It’s so incredible and you can’t really get it this way at a restaurant, where you dip your bites in raw egg.
