Was wir sehen wollen / What We Want to See
Winning project of the public art commission for the Zurich North Cantonal School (KZN)
A project by Sylvain Baumann and Boris Rebetez
What We Want to See is a group of four bronze sculptures that will be dispersed throughout the outdoor areas of the educational complex. Situated at the boundary between the pure expression of material and the beginnings of recognizable forms—like a cloud, a mountain ridge, or tree foliage in which our imagination allows us to see particular figures—these sculptures cultivate ambiguity and uncertainty, non-binarity, the multiplicity of identities, and the continuous links between bodies and the environment.
We are excited to realize this project in collaboration with the company Kunstguss, recently established in Arlesheim/Basel (CH)
