In a little less than 2 weeks, we will be hosting our Freeman SEVEN YEAR anniversary! holy cow its crazy to think its been that long!
Back in 2019 a bunch of friends in the music scene, corralled together to find warehouse space. on and off through out the years we would find a space, and through trial and error via our whole community (noise complaints, bad zoning, complications of safety etc) we learned what was appropriate and, what was going to break leases lol.
Freeman Guild became what it is through the determination of those involved. while friend groups come and go, and peoples involvement follows suit. Freeman has become a community mainstay on the simple basis that we work together to maintain it.
It has been with great honor that I have worked in a custodial position all these years to watch it survive a global pandemic, multiple economic recessions and influences, only to be still thriving as a artistic outlet for so many of us to this day.
I am grateful for the opportunities to grow Freeman, with some of the most amazing humans to boot!
