bts of making Drugs on a Sunday with @chloeangelides and @timanderson.eth — this song came together just after the pandemic, when I started feeling a kind of social anxiety I’d never experienced before. showing up at events, parties, rooms full of “work talk” and performative joy — wondering why I even came, and if anyone even knew me at all, even though we were all saying “i love you” to each other. this song became my way of processing all of that: the disconnect, the overstimulation, the pressure to be “on” in spaces that feel empty. it’s about trying to find something real in environments that reward the opposite. power to the Irish exit 💋
