Today we lost a true legend in the yearbook world.
Mike Taylor inspired staffs and shared laughs, filled a room with his Ask Mike expertise and huge personality, and left us far too soon.
Mike captured the attention of teenagers—quite the feat—and pushed them to be better journalists. His legacy will live forever through the passion he passed along to those who knew him.
It’s no exaggeration that he shaped American journalism as we know it today. Countless yearbookers chose a career in writing or photography or teaching because he instilled a love for it in them in high school. He is already missed.
Artisan toffee a co-worker brought to me. I didn’t have the heart to tell him I’ve cut sugar. He gave me two, then meant to give me one more but three came out of the bag. I’m so grateful for co-workers who brighten days.
Greg’s company holiday party is always somewhere different and always somewhere Kansas City and I go as his +1. This year included a ticket to ride the Ferris wheel. Eek! This was my second time and it’s definitely better at night. I love this city. Did you know that? 🙂
Well, it’s official. I’m not having a Halloween party this year.
Those who know me know that’s a big deal. But I’m going to be out of town too much of October to pull it off.
