We’re just one day away from Commencement, our favorite day of the year, and we are more excited than ever to celebrate the accomplishments of the 2026 graduates!
Since Commencement will be held outside at Alumni Plaza, graduates may invite as many guests as they would like. However, if you are planning on attending with a large group and plan to arrive close to the start of your graduate’s ceremony, bringing along additional seating (lawn chairs, folding chairs, etc.) is encouraged. Free parking is available in the parking lots at either the Dailey Road or Cherry Grove Road entrances. Both lots are just a short walk away from the ceremony at Alumni Plaza.
For those who can not attend the event in person, the SMC YouTube channel will be live-streaming Commencement on YouTube @SWMichCollege .

With 4.3 million registered nurses (RNs) nationwide, 13 more joined the ranks of America’s largest health care profession at SMC’S pinning ceremony on May 6. SMC President Dr. Klint Pleasant recounted the touching story of Meg, a nurse who Dr. Pleasant credits with saving his wife Rachel’s life.
