Some recent work for the friends over @switchgrassspirits I wanted to shy away from trends and standard beverage shots. There’s little scratches on the table and imperfections in the bottles… my background is in editorial work and I wanted to lean into that. Catch it all in camera. I love their branding and aesthetic, it feels like it’s from an era where the adverts were bicycles and booze. I love it! To make use of a dark motif so the products natural colors could shine through seemed appropriate. I have always been fascinated with the way light shifts and morphs when being diffracted by glass and liquid... this was a perfect opportunity to mix fascination with experimentation.
🍋 The lemons have reached their final form. 🍋
The process was long and a little sticky, but with Joe Fresta, Jr. (of the Supper Club with Joe podcast), we turned them into limoncello — made in-house at Switchgrass from thousands of hand-processed lemon peels. The result is a classic Italian-inspired digestivo: simple, natural, sweet, bright. Drink it ice cold, mix it, make a shot, use free will!
It’ll be in stores and at farmers’ markets May 2, alongside our whiskey. 🌼 More info coming this week.
