We are so thankful for the volunteers who help make SVDP’s Sweet Cheeks program possible. You can help too by giving your time or by making a gift to Cincinnati’s Largest Baby Shower to support families in our community.
Sweet Cheeks partners with a trusted network of more than 40 local nonprofits and healthcare providers across Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, working together to distribute about 2.5 million diapers each year to families who need them most.
Our goal is to raise $100,000 by Mother’s Day to keep diapers moving through that network so babies can stay clean, dry, and healthy, no matter their family’s income.

“A good diaper keeps our kids more comfortable and when they’re comfortable, they’re happier.”
Oscar and Anna are raising two little ones, and like so many families, they know how quickly diaper costs add up. Even lower-cost diapers can be hard to afford, and they often do not work as well.
They shared:
“We have a 2-year-old and an 11-month-old. A box of 90 diapers, even the cheaper ones, costs about $50. Sometimes we don’t have money for even those by the end of the month.
And the low-cost diapers leak, especially for our 2-year-old. If we could, we’d share diapers with everyone who needs them. Since we can’t right now, we’re so grateful someone is sharing with us.”

Diapers are a basic health need, but for too many families, they are also a major monthly expense.
Nearly 1 in 2 U.S. families with young children (47%) cannot afford enough diapers to keep their baby or child clean, dry, and healthy. Babies can need 8–12 diapers a day, and a monthly supply can cost $80–$100 or more.
Diaper need can also affect a family’s ability to work. Many child care providers require families to supply diapers, which means not having enough can put both child care access and work stability at risk.
That is why Cincinnati’s Largest Baby Shower matters. Through Mother’s Day, our community is coming together with a goal of raising $100,000 to support diaper access for families across Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.

St. Vincent de Paul – Cincinnati has been a long‑time distribution partner of ours and a trusted place where families already turn when they need help with the essentials. They understand what it means to show up for neighbors with dignity, without judgment, and with hearts wide open. And now, they have opened their home to Sweet Cheeks so this work can continue well into the future.

For caregivers, running out of diapers can be very scary. Babies who don't have clean diapers experience more health problems, like diaper rashes that are the equivalent to third-degree burns.

🔹Because of the federal government shutdown, SNAP assistance for families in Hamilton County will not be available throughout the month of November.
🔹This will have dramatic and unforeseen consequences for all residents of Hamilton County.
