Dear algorithm , I'm trying to teach you my full language… Yes, I make music—but it comes from everything I love! My interests funnel into my music. Vintage design & architecture, digging for records, modern art, thrifted gems, graphic design, old electronics, books, paintings, music gear, vintage clothing, Japan, travel and everything in between are my creative languages.. so wouldn't it make sense that others who also love these things might also find interest in my art? This isn’t just a sound—it’s a world. Building a space where all of these passions collide, so the right people can find it, feel it, and be part of it. A community of creators and admirers of the arts. If you see this, you’re probably meant to be here.

My thoughts on #mpcsample .. I've had this thing for 3 days and I'm loving it!! @akai_pro hit this one out of the park in my opinion and here's why: 1. The design. I know it's not for everyone but to me it is just too good. Looks like something you'd see on a key chain 🤣It's like one of those toys you're proud to show off to your nerdy design friends. It reminds me of Japanese miniature toy aesthetics which I dig! 2. Yes it's more limited than using a Daw like Ableton but those limitations really make music making fun again. More carefree.Less choices = just make stuff and don't over think it! Do I wish it had some features like better warping and stem extraction? Yes, but hopefully that will come in future firmware updates. 3. It's sounds good.. it's pretty beefy if you tweak it right. The Soft Clipper is cool. This audio is just direct out of the machine, I haven't even run it through some nice pre amps/compressor yet.. was just too excited to post my first jam lol. 4. The workflow is fast and it's really easy to generate ideas quickly. Easy to learn, you'll be making something in minutes.I learned it super fast. Plus it fits anywhere.. I was making beats last night in the kitchen while I made dinner 🤣 If you know my music you know I don't sit in any one genre. I make hip hop, house, ambient and everything in between. The MPC Sample will get used for a lot of idea starting and on the go work. Excited to continue learning all the ins and outs and start stemming out ideas into Ableton.. but after 3 days I haven't been able to put it down!! Like Mos Def said in mrsfatbooty : "all my other plans got cancelled" 🤣 Right out of the box I was instantly having a blast and that's more than I can say for a lot of other hardware I've played with lately. Happy to answer any questions so just shoot! ✌🏼

Works every time! Thought I'de share this vinyl sampling tip for the youth who are just getting into chopping record/samples! 33 rpm to 45rpm and some filtering often leads to some happy accidents and ideas!! Vice versa taking a a Techno or Disco record that's meant to play at 45 and playing it at 33 also can lead to some magic! Just trying to keep the art of sampling alive for the little duns! Enjoy ✌🏼

That feeling when you finish your album! I spent over a year working on this one. It's so freeing and terrifying at the same time!! I think every artist struggles with when to say it's really finished! Learning to let go is a lesson in itself because you always feel like you could just keep tweaking things. Whether it's the mixes or the song arrangements, something will always bug you lol! Put your hands up if you know the feeling!! But remember, perfection is a myth and creation is ever evolving. Albums are like a snap shot, an auditory movie of a period in an artists life. It will never be the same again and there's a nostalgic beauty in knowing that the moments captured through sound will live on forever in sound even though your life will continue to change. I can't wait to share this record. "SUPER STUFF" will release June 5th on @fofmusic The first single "CASH ONLY" hits this Wednesday worldwide 🫶🏼🎵 Thank you all for riding with me for so many years, it's truly an honor to be able to do what I love!!

Old School BPM Counting. I was telling a young dj friend of mine this story the other day! There was no bpm analyzing, no apps, no sync, just a stopwatch and your ears. The struggle was real, you actually had to stay in time on the clicker for a whole minute to get the Bpm of a song🤣.

This one kept giving! There's something so hypnotic and satisfying about loops that choose themselves when a vinyl record is all damaged. Where ever I lay the needle on this one it loops 🤣🙃

Grooveboxin' A quick jam on the Korg Electribe Emx 1 . A good friend loaned me his a while back and I forgot how fun these things are!! Instant house music, jungle, and even downtempo vibes with that hands on tactile feel.
