HOW DO YOU KNOW? Without knowing factors like, how well an individual moves, what areas are CURRENTLY weak, and how their energy levels are..it’s difficult to creat a completely accurate workout. When I initial work with clients, this assessment and treatment of weakened muscles @muscleactivationtechniques I also do this first thing in my #PERSONALTraining sessions. Why? XC Runners worry about gaining too much muscle mass. Why? More mass is more tax on the body when doing endurance performance. That means it’s easier to get tired faster. You don’t necessarily add too much mass when developing strength. A little may be needed to take on the demands of the sport. We understand endurance events. We can develop strength without putting on the mass. A XC runners will make sure of that. With that said, durability is needed to take on the demands without getting too taxed on the body. Why do we need a strong back? If we can’t keep the torso upright, it’ll start to bend forward. That will also make it ore difficult to breathe 🫁😄. A DURABLE back can keep the spine and trunk upright for a longer amount of time. This is a strategic advantage to those who can. Better Oxygen (O2 Intake) and utilization can occur for the individual who has better spinal extension. A fancy way of saying anyone can run better if they have a stronger back that can keep their trunk upright. More duration, better execution, less energy waste. EXERCISE INJURY STATS (2024-2026) For the S OKC Metro. If you can’t afford the recovery, can you really afford the exercise (without a plan)? Another reason why (see Infograph) we are obsessed with knowing background, capabilities, and your medical/injury history BEFORE you start. Ego lifting and ā€œmotivationalā€ workouts can become very expensive if they are beyond your physical means at this time. Sharpening that Swing Isolating the trunk in order to truly focus on the muscles that rotate it. We use this to take the shoulders out of this movement. @braylynsaenz did this after doing our group 30inThirty session. Isometrics will prepare the body.
