Hi everyone, We are thrilled to announce that tickets for Strings & Things go on sale April 1st—just one week away! Please note that Early Bird pricing will be available until April 8th, but quantities are capped and may sell out before that date. This year features an exciting lineup at a new venue, Lighthouse Park. We are also introducing our Patron Program, limited to 100 tickets. Patron ticket holders will enjoy an exclusive private concert on Friday, July 10th, and VIP access for the festival on July 11th. While the Friday night venue and performer(s) are currently TBD, you will have to trust us :) Most importantly this program is a wonderful way to provide extra support to our festival and its future. Friday March 20, 5-7pm TCM3 - Jazz / Groove / Hard Bop 🎶 TCM (The Grammy nominated saxophonist known widely among friends and musicians as The Chris Miller) premieres a new ensemble in the great tradition of organ trio jazz. Featuring the incomparable Conner Forsyth on keys, and groove impresario Angie Tabor on drums - expect a mix of danceable jazz, funk, and soul. Saturday March 21, 5-7pm Equinox Party with Sweater Weather String Band - Upbeat Folk! 🎶 With members drawn together from all across the Salish Sea by a mutual love of traditional music and knitwear, Sweater Weather String Band blends old-time, honky-tonk, Celtic, and indie rock influences into a style that has been likened to “the frolicking of sheep before a thunderstorm.” Formed from a series of jams and impromptu gigs, the band quickly developed a wildly danceable sound that’s been heard at festivals, folk dances, and bars throughout the Northwest. Sunday March 22, 3-5pm Port Townsend Saxophone Quartet - Jazz / Classical / Pop 🎶 Port Townsend Saxophone Quartet performs music of all styles—from jazz to classical to pop and beyond —and features four local Port Townsend saxophonists: Jonathan Doyle, Stephanie M. Neumann, Vincent Oneppo, and Al Thompson. 30 minutes before music starts, a $5/person cover charge (excluding children under 12) will be collected. Your favorite string band heart throbs @sweaterweatherstring are putting on Thanksgiving Leftovers Honky Tonk round #2 at Quilcene Lantern. Dance off that holiday meal and make room for leftovers at the QL on Saturday, November 29. Doors at 6pm, music at 7pm. $10-15 at doors. Advance tickets available as well.
