🎥 Filmmaking is an art of bringing people together to realize a shared vision. I view it as the most democratic art form. Everyone contributes with their unique touch, while the leader ensures the essence of the idea is understood and embraced by all. I experienced this collaborative spirit firsthand as one of the writer-directors in EKAM (season 1), an anthology fiction series. The episodes that I worked on are titled “Tradition” and “Identity”. Both the episodes are adaptations of short stories by Satheesan Puthumana. 👣 Ep.6 - TRADITON - In a bizarre turn of events, a funeral procession marches forward, unaware that the person they mourn is alive and well, walking amongst them. This absurd tale explores how our lives are extensions of our ancestors’ stories, choices, and ways. ⏳ Ep. 7 - IDENTITY - An old writer receives an unexpected visitor who communicates through puzzling clues, unearthing deeply personal episodes from the writer’s life.
