Demo reel 2022
I'm historically bad at sharing my work and a lot of it stems from my impostor syndrome. My career path is far from orthodox and at times I feel like that invalidates my work. I studied fine arts in college, played in a band for 5 years, worked entry level marketing jobs and then quit to buy a camera and start filming.
I started by shooting weddings to make ends meet but back in 2018 I had the incredible opportunity to start a creative collective with some of the most creative and talented people I know.
From there we went on to shoot campaigns for Aldo, Mazda, Interac, Ardene and Mentos to name a few. I am eternally grateful for the people that have crossed my path and helped me to reach this point and putting together this demo reel has really helped me to appreciate them and my journey.
Some post production BTS from Mischo's banger "Down For You." This was a blast to make because we were able to make something so much bigger than what we filmed in a small studio space with a blue screen.
We did a ton of pre-production to get the vision for the universe and planned our productions to match the lighting of each scene. In the end we created an immersive dive into the 5th dimension in the mind of Mischo.

Aerial work for @cypressmtn showcasing the nordic trails from a perspective most people never get to see. A project I've been looking forward to for a while.

On theme with my fixed rigs, here’s a boot rig test I did with my brother on his birthday! The inspiration was the ship shots from the movie Interstellar

This chapter of my professional life is all about fixed rigs - how can I put a camera on it?
On this project we rigged a unique snorricam with the camera swinging several feet away from the subject to capture the close up action on the soccer ball and a helmet POV camera.

Who’s excited for first chair?
Watching the snow start to pile up on the local mountains is getting me so stoked to get back on the slopes! This year’s goal: no injuries! 💪⛷️🎿

Aerial footage I captured of the long boat that will be docked in North Vancouver this weekend

Most of the time when I share drone work, it’s the polished final product — smooth flyovers, bright colors, and cinematic edits.
What you don’t usually see are the aerial bloopers:
Watching the battery hit critical and knowing obstacle avoidance just shut off to save power
Drone fishing (swimming) in the canal in March because the insurance doesn’t cover a lost drone
Or, like this shot, a flock of birds circling my drone like it’s the final scene of Jaws
Flying drones is equal parts beautiful and ridiculous — and it’s usually the behind-the-scenes moments that make the best stories.
Want to hear more wild drone stories? Just ask — I’ve got plenty.

I haven’t shared much of my drone work in the past, but I’ve been doing more of it lately — and i want to be better about that.
I hold an Advanced RPAS certificate, have been flying for over 6 years and fly a Mavic 3 Cine.
With a cinematography background, I’m always looking for ways to make drone shots feel intentional — not just wide and pretty, but purposeful.
If you’re looking to add cinematic aerials to your next project, commercial or branded shoot, let’s connect.

Production : Absen Bell Centre Install
Client : SC Media, Absen, and Solotech
DOP / Edit / Drone : Steven Ward
Gaffer : @thisispav
Location : Bell Centre, Montreal
Got the chance to shoot something a little different — and a lot of fun — inside the Bell Centre in Montreal.
Absen, SC Media, and Solotech had just finished installing brand new digital signage across the stadium, and I was brought on to document the project as a case study for future clients.
We covered everything from wide drone passes across the bowl to close-up shots showing just how accessible and modular the new screens are. The signage was live during our shoot, so we were able to show it in full operation — not just static installs.
I assembled a small team for this one and handled shooting, drone operating, and editing. Interviews were filmed inside the stadium framed with the new signs active in the background. Flying a drone inside one of Canada’s most iconic arenas? Definitely a career highlight.
Looking to take on more corporate location-based work or drone-heavy shoots — feel free to reach out.

For a recent production called Selective Memories, the director had envisioned a very specific moment: the camera would orbit our lead as the voiceover described how our brains interpret sound.
I knew of a custom 360 rig large enough for the job created by DOP @marshalchupa we could rent—and with some fine tuning from our team, we pulled it off.
To keep the 360 movement truly free, I went with a stripped-back lighting setup: just two lights. For the key, we needed it totally out of frame, so we rigged a 600D on a MSE Mini MAX Boom Arm, keeping the stand hidden in shadows and the light boomed overhead. It gave us a natural look that mirrored our window source—without compromising the frame.
Always grateful to work with creative teams willing to problem-solve and adapt to get the shot.

Production : THE BUTCHER AND THE BROWN GUYS
DoP : @swardjun
Gaffer : @nikomyyra
Set Dec: @lauralikespink
Key Grip: @enriquereyes.b
Grip: Gabriel Galand
We recently wrapped a shoot with Butcher and Brown Guys, a local catering company that handles food for film sets and large-scale events. The challenge? Their custom catering truck wasn’t ready yet, so we had to shoot in a test kitchen—and make it not look like a test kitchen.
We had a tight 5-hour window, including setup and teardown, so we had to move fast. I rented a 20’x20’ black backdrop to block out the kitchen and give us a cleaner frame.
We needed an easily adjustable lighting rig so we hung a couple of 4’ tube lights over the backdrop for some shape and depth, rigged our key light on a combo stand with casters and set up a big room light to make for a nice even level across everyone behind the counter. We also set up an overhead camera to get those tantalising top-down cooking shots.
It was a tight timeline, but the team really pulled through and the client was thrilled with the final product.
