In our second event under the theme unlearning and reimagining we are diving into the basement of TOP Lab, a transdisciplinary community and Berlin’s first DIY BioLab, where we will witness three different approaches in sound and image generation.
The evening will start as a journey through decay, transformation, and sound: Bioglitch stages a live feedback loop between plastic-eating fungi, polyurethane tape, and sonified genomic data, treating decomposition as a form of resistance; Swantje Lichtenstein works with voice, rhythm, and broken language to explore feminist, non-canonical knowledge and the forgotten oral roots of Western thought; and Auguste Vickunaitė closes the night with a reel-to-reel tape performance built from found sounds and field recordings, where glitches and decaying technology open space for unlearning and reimagining through sound.
