In a close call with a tree while skiing in the backcountry this January, I tore my ACL, MCL, PCL, and Meniscus, ending my season. This happened just after the glyph team and I were given the opportunity to film for vishnu, a dream of mine for years, but I hadn’t gotten any clips for it yet. At first I was pissed and had completely lost sight of the dream. With an injury like this some skiers never get back to 100%. I went into a dark place for a bit. Eventually though I realized that the truth was that I should just be stoked to be alive with an accident like that.. Soon we realized that Huey had clips of me from the fall that worked perfectly for the video. Additionally, my friends all stepped in and were super stoked to film and ski for glyph. Soon enough, despite the setback, I was on my first paid trip with the homies to ski and film street, and i got to go just to film. On top of all that my friends were there for me more than ever for my recovery, offering help and hanging all the time even during the months i was bedridden. So i just wanna thank all the homies being the best friends I could ask for. I also just wanna say a huge thank you to Vishnu for supporting the dream through the weather. Vishnu forever! yall go buy some skis fr. Also massive thanks to my family for being there as well and being so awesome. Anyways, despite the injury and not being able to ski, this season still ended up being maybe the best season of my life yet. And I have everyone to thank. Super grateful for life and skiing and my homies and my family and vishnu and planet earth. Love yall!
