i got to catch some of the best waves i’ve ever surfed in crystal clear water with sea turtles (!!!) and seals while a rainbow shined over the entire session… thankful to say goodbye to 2025 in the best way.

today marks one year without you.
life's kept me busy, but there hasn't been a single day that's gone by without you crossing my mind. as i was looking for photos of us, i realized the gaps in between were vast. i look for you in those gaps — the time lost between friends and lovers, between homes, between waking and dreaming.
the idea that i will never see you again, not on this earth, not as my mom, is unbearable, but i look for you everywhere... in everyone. when that day comes, i just hope you will recognize me.
i love you as true as my bones and body. may you rest in peace, mama.
