Someone told me recently that my LA life is small. This isn’t a post about proving them wrong (I already know she was) This is a post about celebrating kindness and love and support.
I spent 4 days in the desert with a group of people I barely knew, some not at all. How this group bonded and lifted each other up blew my mind. They allowed me to shine as the butterfly they already knew I was. Not by criticism, or suggestions to be better, or putting me down to build themselves up, but with sheer love and encouragement. What a world this would be if we all led with that.

For being you, for knowing I’d love it, for knowing I would shine, and for creating a phenomenal experience that none of us will ever forget, and friendships that will last forever. I knew I’d love it but not this much. You are amazing. And your northernness is just the icing on top of the most delicious cake!
And for anyone that needs to hear it. Be kind, lead with love, dance in the desert, get a tattoo and post the bikini picture. Your soul will thank you!
