If today you see a Sushmita flourishing, dreaming fearlessly, or even trying it is only because of these two.
From school days, to my endless crazy dreams, to being the most notorious kid at home, they carried everything on their shoulders so I could keep moving forward without fear.
I’m not someone who expresses emotions easily. I usually take life head on and keep going. But when I look back now, I realise how much they silently went through just to support me in every possible way. The sacrifices, the faith, the strength. I don’t think I’ll ever truly be able to measure it.
Every milestone I achieve today, tomorrow, or years from now, will always belong to you first.
Because when the world questioned me, you stood beside me without hesitation.
When I doubted myself, you gave wings to a scared little girl and taught her how to believe in herself.
Behind every bit of confidence people see in me today, there is my you mumma and papa.
I thank God for you every single day. And honestly, if someday I can do even 1% for my child of what you both have done for me, I’ll consider myself successful as a human being.
