FIGHT FOR THE FOUNTAIN!
the city wants to tear the vaillencourt fountain down in the embarcadero. they want to tear down a work of art meant to PROMOTE FREEDOM. it is a statement against gentrification, and they want it gone? that says something about what they want for the future of our city.
this is bullshit. we can’t let them tear it down. we don’t need more condos for techies. we don’t need more soulless fine art or free edm shows paid for with our tax dollars to entertain the ai soldiers. daniel lurie and our city government says they care about art & culture, well then they shouldn’t have any problem with us trying to save a piece of san francisco history. fight for the fountain. show up and let the city that we won’t let them make this decision if we can help it.

I really fucking hate these self driving cars. The idea of replacing human input with AI so that tech corporations can maximize profits disgusts me. I think it’s fucked up that the general public in SF did not get to vote on whether or not we wanted these abominations to be free range on the streets.

video context: This waymo was double parked in the street, blocking a spot that I was trying to park in. It indicated that its doors were not closed and couldn’t move until they were. After I went and shut all its doors, it still wouldn’t move so I went elsewhere to find parking. I decided to check back on it a while later and it was still there, unable to move.

super excited for this show at one of the staples of punk history in SF, mabuhay gardens/on broadway. this is big news for punk in SF as we may just have a new spot to play.. which if you haven’t noticed, our options have been VERY limited.
recently cody and I were invited to step in and help throw a show here, and i really hope that this’ll bring more to come at the spot.
consider coming out and supporting as this could be really great thing for all of us in the bay area who wish there was more venues that wanted punk, and are down with all ages.
