Thrilled to announce that IKLECTIK is bringing its 12.4 ambisonic sound system all the way from London to Ternopil (Ukraine) for the Hamselyt Festival, taking place from April 25-27.
After a five-year break, the festival returns, and we’re honoured to be part of it. On April 25, we will present an immersive sonic experience at the festival.
IKLECTIK will lead a hands-on workshop on ambisonic sound and present multichannel listening sessions, exploring the possibilities of spatial sound.
That evening, two Ukrainian composers will present works created specifically for this system, transforming sound into an immersive experience.
This project holds special significance for us. Four years ago, we connected with Ukrainian artists through KYUB (
@kyub.digital ) an online residency exchange created in collaboration with The Institute of Sound & Women in Sound, supported by The House of Europe (
@houseofeurope.org.ua ). Now, we finally come together in Ternopil to continue this artistic exchange in person.
We’re also chuffed to share this experience with Tears Ov (Tapeworm label) and, last but not least, incredibly grateful to Paul Kelly from Surplus Sound, who will be joining us all the way to Ukraine.
