An incredible night topped off with an insane cover. I was gonna post this video as a story, but it deserves more time. The crowd erupted when they heard the opening riff. Not only was it a great end to Surf Through Death’s release party, it gave me hope. Hope that the younger generations will enjoy this music as much as the generations that grew up on it.
I was recording their final minute, the guys next to me start banging their heads. The song was released probably a decade or more before they were born. The tradition continues, rock ain’t dead. It never was.
Dead Canyon and Sativan we’re also on the Bill getting the crowd ready. Standout sets bringing desert stoner with Ranchera psych. It was a packed house, it was great that so many people came out to support them. Get out to a show, and rattle your goddamn head.

Surf Through Death is a 3 piece band from Phoenix AZ. This Trio sets themselves apart in the desert stoner and psych rock space through a strong sense of melody and harmony,
even as their sound leans heavily into thick fuzz, crushing riffs, and hypnotic grooves.
Their songs shift naturally between haunting, subdued, mellow moments and massive, fuzz-soaked heaviness, balancing atmosphere with force.
