Words can’t express how thankful I am for everything.
Paid a surprise visit to a place where I call home. 4.5 years sounds so long but maybe wasn’t that long after all. To my surprise, almost all the people I’d met remembered me, even my name, from young to old. I felt loved in many ways🫶🏻 10 days went by so fast, but it was totally worth visiting my Indonesian hometown. Thanks for those who shared waves with me. Hatur nuhun🤍
変わりすぎていて残念なところもあったけど、村人たちは変わらずで、隣町の友達や、３時間離れた街に住む友達も会いに来てくれて、笑いの絶えない楽しい時間しかなかった。小さかった子供も、高齢の夫婦や、たまに会うマッサージの人、レストランで料理する裏方の女子たちまでが私の名前をちゃんと覚えていてくれて、本当に泣けた。フードファイトな旅になったけど、なんとかサーフィンも毎日できたし、良かった。

Who wuld have known I’d end up staying here for 2.5 years!? Great fun hanging out with these beautiful people eating amazing food and drinking till the crack of dawn. Miyazaki stay has definitely opened the door to shochu! Back in the concrete jungle is depressing, but I know I can go back for a quick surf and a sip of decent shochu anytime!
