Another mountain spring break in the books, only this time I traded the board for skis. It had been over 30 yrs since I had been on skis. It was one of my “try something new” items for the year (up next, piano). Now just need to practice so I can keep up with the girls!
Loved seeing the girls progress and do hard things — continually inspired and motivated by them…also really love Gemma’s newest nickname, GEM-A-KAZI💥
5 YRS of GEMSTONE 💎

We celebrated above the oak trees at Camp Gemstone — the perfect adventure party destination🌲 Many thanks to @highlineadventures for the epic time!
Keeping travel (even if small) and spontaneity alive and well in 2026! Scooted down south — enjoyed amazing sunrises and sunsets, ate delish food (hello, Wildland), checked out the Botanic Garden (highly recommend), lived in the pool and saw friends — the best mid-week pick me up 🫶🏼
Do the thing, change your scenery, take the kids, call the friends!
Friday mornings, just how we like ‘em.
I normally give the gift of experiential surprise in form of adrenaline-inducing activities for @chriswisner on his bday (IYKYK) — keeping him guessing and a bit on edge 🤣 This time I decided to join him, perhaps a new tradition — thanks for the morning ride, what a way to start the day! @highlineadventures
Managed to fill the first week of Dec to the holiday brim! For bonus pts @chriswisner and I celebrated our 9th anniversary with a quick trip to Ojai — dinner with friends, mezcal and vinyl and a leisurely morning full of quiet, hot coffee, meandering, lunch, wine in the sunshine and more delicious eats (most not pictured, I guess that’s what happens when you’re fully present) 🙏🏼
Feeling very content and grateful for all the things (esp family who pulls through and makes kid-free getaways possible) heart you mean it! 🫶🏼
Nothing better than sharing experiences with family…heart is full after a week of doing just that.
Never enough time to see and do it all but we made a good dent: Cold Springs > Hot Springs > More Mesa > SYV > a handful of delicious meals out and the special treat of hosting everyone for a Thanksgiving feast which included sharing our favorite Brunello that @chriswisner and I brought back from Italy circa 2017 where the fiery female winemaker was named…..Gemma, who so fittingly inspired someone’s name 🔥
A rare solo night with Gemma — completely unprompted, unscripted, she wanted to help cook. Luckily I had some red sauce with ground beef, peppers and onion in the freezer — a perfect meal to “cook” with her. Just boil the bucatini, add the sauce and some fresh ingredients — parmigiano reggiano and some crispy, buttery and lightly salted shiitakes 🤌🏼
Choosing the right types of meals to cook with the girls does two things: removes unwanted stress and gets them invested in the meal — a sure fire way to get them to try new things!
