Rajgad Taluka, in our Baramati Lok Sabha Constituency is steadily emerging as one of Maharashtra’s beautiful destinations to experience the magical fireflies season amidst the forests and landscapes of the Sahyadris.
These moments in nature are a reminder of how delicate and valuable our ecosystems are, and why responsible tourism and conservation must go hand in hand.
We appreciate the efforts of Nisargshala and similar initiatives that have been working towards creating meaningful nature experiences while supporting local communities and encouraging greater environmental awareness.

छत्रपती शिवाजी महाराजांचे पुत्र आणि स्वराज्याचे दुसरे छत्रपती संभाजी महाराज यांची आज जयंती. किल्ले पुरंदर येथे त्यांचा जन्म झाला. संभाजीराजे हे शूरवीर, पराक्रमी होतेच याशिवाय ते संस्कृत, प्राकृत यासह काही परकीय भाषांमध्ये देखील पारंगत होते. त्यांनी लिहिलेला 'बुधभुषण' हा ग्रंथ आज देखील मार्गदर्शक आहे. छत्रपती संभाजी महाराजांचे आणखी एक वैशिष्ट्य म्हणजे ते त्या काळातील एक कुशल सेनानायक देखील होते. आपल्या संबंध आयुष्यकाळात ते एकाही युद्धात पराभूत झाले नाहीत. छत्रपती शिवरायांप्रमाणेच त्यांनी आपल्या रयतेची मुलाप्रमाणे काळजी घेतली. छत्रपती शिवरायांनी शून्यातून उभा केलेल्या स्वराज्याचे मोल त्यांना ठाऊक होते, म्हणूनच त्यांनी खंबीरपणे स्वराज्यावर आलेल्या संकटाचा सामना केला. स्वराज्याचे रक्षण केले. छत्रपती संभाजी महाराज यांच्या जयंतीच्या निमित्ताने त्यांचे कृतज्ञ स्मरण आणि त्यांना मानाचा मुजरा.
