CULTURAL THREADS: WEAVING THE OLD WITH THE NEW.
Growing up, we never played sports with the right gear. It was always playing with what you have on at the moment. This project reinterprets sports fashion through a deeply personal and cultural lens, reflecting the experience of growing up in Ghana, where sports were played without traditional gear. It challenges conventional athletic wear by blending sportswear with vintage tailoring, creating a striking contrast between formality and function.
The project explores themes of adaptation, identity, and nostalgia. It highlights the ingenuity of making do with what’s available while celebrating the fluidity of fashion across contexts. “Improvise” is what I call it.

Styled by @supremefurst , he wears a tailored jacket elevated by a shoulder yoke drenched in gold sequins aided by stone detailing that catch light with liquid brilliance. The jacket sits on a beautifully smooth silk shirt with white bootcut trousers and a belt to tie the entire look together with gold accessories and emeralds serving as the cherry on top.
