The Arc beat me again! Rough conditions this time. Slippery mud and waterlogged paths all the way meant little actual running, gale force wind and sideways rain made for a nasty slog. Was going to drop out at Penzance at 40 miles but pushed on through the night to first light at Land’s End, missing the cutoff by 30 seconds to make it a 55 miler. Credit to the 40% of starters who finished! Thanks for the nice messages.

Got stuck into some mapping work using Unreal Engine to dovetail graphics shots with a programme shot entirely using drones.

Abingdon Marathon 2025. Went well until 20 miles - my lack of training found me out and cramp got me bad! Finished in 3h22m. 4th best marathon time out of 9 attempts. Great event with lots of support from spectators and marshals. Time to leave the tarmac behind now, hitting the trails in preparation for the Arc 100 in January.
