Hey everybody! I’m Jay-Lee - the owner of Superstition Makeup Co and hopefully your upcoming bridal hair and makeup artist :)
I’ve been doing hair and makeup for over 17 years since I graduated cosmetology school at 18. (how am I already old enough to say that?!)
Glamming up myself and my friends has been my passion since I was a teenager and I’m so lucky I was able to turn my hobby into a career! I was always the go to gal to do my friend’s hair and makeup.
Natural makeup & effortless hair is our specialty. Our philosophy is a little bit goes a long way. And you don’t have to feel caked in makeup to become the best bridal version of yourself!

We made some changes from the trial on the day of. Went for a more bronzey/neautral look on eyes & skin. Also changed up her waves to these softer glam waves! The adjustments were a huge hit and why we highly recommend trials.
Trials are a way to work out any kinks before the big day and ensure for a smooth glam session for both bride and artists the morning of your wedding.

Alexi wanted to look natural - with the use of high coverage concealer and foundation.
We are in love with how her look came out! I couldn’t stop looking at her and telling her she looked like a movie star!

Had so much fun with my curly queen Nila!
We used a 3/8th inch tiny barrel iron with the wrap curl method to spring up her natural curls.
She wanted a hint of 70s vibes so we went for extra volume and a cute subtle wing for a nod to her theme.
Had a blast with this cutie! You can just see how excited she is to marry her man! She is beaming!
