Currently in BEKs studios,
@superspaceee is back and has been working in the electronic lab and project space with multichannel recordings and different spatial setups and tested close recordings and spatial separation of them through playback. Kaja has been testing out piezo microphone recordings of surrounding architecture and crotch, and longer sound pipes and acoustics and fan systems through ventilation pipes affecting the ankle point, while reading and drawing inspiration from "How to teach quantum physics to your dog" by Chad Orzel and Cindy Sherman's Disasters and Moldy Food series.
She has also tested out systems for drying clothes, and will test infrasound recordings that relate, in frequency range, to certain specific bodypoints.
Kaja Haven is an emerging artist working between sound, installation, performance, video and mechanics. Her interdisciplinary practice often revolve around everyday objects, space and activation, as socially staged events and performative matter that is frequently paired with overly dramatic temperaments and emotional layerings.
Kaja has exhibited at Bergen Kunsthall, the Royal Institute of Art, Stockholm, Hordaland Kunstsenter, Q Gallery, Copenhagen, EfterƄrsudstillingen, Copenhagen, and Distortion Festival, Copenhagen, amongst others.
