Recently got a the incredible opportunity to make some pixel art visuals that appeared as part of legendary jam band Phish's show at the Las Vegas Sphere last month. It feels surreal seeing my pixel art on a screen so large next to so many other talented artists' wonderful work. I started doing pixel art way back in elementary school based on my love of the aesthetic of the games I grew up with and I don't think back then I ever imagined it would lead to something like this.

J'ai récemment eu l'incroyable opportunité de réaliser du pixel art qui est apparu dans le cadre du spectacle du légendaire jam band Phish au Las Vegas Sphere le mois dernier. C'est pas croyable de voir mon pixel art sur un écran aussi grand à côté du travail fantastique de tant d'autres artistes. J'ai commencé à faire du pixel au primaire inspiré par mon amour des visuels des jeux vidéos avec lesquels j'ai grandi, et j'pense pas qu'à l'époque j'aurais pu imaginer que ça aurait mené à une telle opportunité.
Un immense merci à Moment Factory pour cette belle opportunité et bravo à tous les artistes incroyables qui sont impliquées dans ce spectacle.

Couldn't make it to this protest, but here's a small contribution. Cuts to the arts are cuts to NovaScotia's culture and all the cultures that call NovaScotia home. The HTS cut and bridge toll cuts barely make an impact in the average NovaScotian's individual savings but have collectively had a huge impact on the province's coffers, it shouldn't be up to the cultural sector to bear the brunt of this gov's bad decisions. Between living in a culturally vibrant province or saving 2$ whenever I cross the bridge I know which one I'd choose... and don't even get me started on how much money the cultural sector brings into the province vs how much it actually costs, because then these cuts make even less sense.

Pas pu me rendre aux manifestations ajd mais voici ma petite contribution. Les coupures dans les arts sont des coupures directes envers la culture néo-écossaise et envers les diverses cultures qui la composent. La coupure de la TVH et du payage au pont de Halifax ont eu un impact négligeable dans la vie des gens de tous les jours mais collectivement on eu un effet néfaste pour le budget de la province. Ça devrait pas être au secteur culturel de payer pour les mauvaises décisions de ce gouvernement. En tout cas, entre avoir le choix de sauver 2$ pour traverser le pont ou vivre dans une province qui soutient ces arts et sa culture, je sais ce que je choisis.... pis ça c'est sans parler des retombées économique des investissement dans les arts et la culture qui dépassent de loin ce que ca coute en financement gouvernemental.

We do daily drawing challenges at work in October, and the other day, the theme was Barbarian. So, I took some inspiration from Toriyama and designed this pre-historic barbarian lady.
Drew it all traditionally, sketch on paper and inked & colored traditionally with alcohol markers. Really happy with the turnout. Discovering how fun those markers are to use has been one of my favorite part of 2025.

Another pixel art based on a long gone building. This one's an old convenience store that existed in Pointe-Verte back in 1972. Not sure what it was called will need to go ask my grandma lol. I just loved how unique the front of that store looked and the fact that there was a full house attached to it (Or was the store attached to the house?)
Wild that there were as many as 7 stores in my home town back then and now there's just the one left.

grand-mere si elle s'en rappelle lol. J'ai choisi ce magasin parce que le devant avait une forme super particulière et qu'il était attaché à une assez grosse maison. (Ou c'est tu le magasin qui fut attaché à la maison?)
C'est fou de penser que dans les 70's y avait au moins 7 magasins dans le village pis il y en reste juste un.

Recently while looking at archive footage I found out that in the 70's there used to be a movie theater back home in Petit-Rocher, NB. I thought that was so wild and interesting since I had never eve heard about it that I just had to make a little pixel scene out of it. Found out about a lot of old long gone landmarks from back home and already started working on more of these. It's so interesting to get to see how much things change in 50 years. // En regardant des archives vidéo j'ai récemment découvert que dans les années 70 y'avais un petit cinéma par chez nous dans le village de Petit-Rocher au NB. J'étais tellement surpris et fasciné d'apprendre qu'il y avait eu un cinema dans ce p'tit village la et que j'en avais jamais même entendu parler que j'ai eu une grosse envie de créer une petit scène en pixel sur l'endroit. J'ai découvert plein de vieux bâtiments et de commerces qui sont long gone dans la vidéo des archives NB que j'ai plein d'idées pour d'autres scènes comme celle là. Quelque mois passe j'ai eu le privilege de créer des anim pour les jeux de l'Acadie Régionale de la Nouvelle-Écosse mettant en vedette les différente regions Acadienne de la NE... pis j'ai right oublier de les poster sur Instagram haha. Been a while since I posted my art here, so here's a lil pixel art I made of an old church up in Belledune NB that's been closed for at least as long as I've been alive. Always found the way it looked striking, one of the only buildings on this big stretch of road next to a big field by the shore. // Fait un bout que j'ai pas poster d'art icitte so voici un p'tit pixel art que j'ai fait d'une p'tite église a Belledune au NB. Pamal certain que cette église là à fermer avant que j'suis né, mais j'ai toujours trouvé que c'était une bâtisse visuellement intéressante.
