I’m very grateful to have my firstborn play THE TIMING OF A DAY join the @concordshows catalog. And I’m honored to have it join its siblings on the shelves of @dramabookshop . 15 years later, the play still teaches me a lot about expectations - the things we think will never happen that come true and the things we think are bound to happen eventually that never materialize. Sometimes big moments change us, but often it’s little moments that do a lot to shape us. I hope people who newly discover this play find comfort, compassion and laughter in its characters. Thanks to everyone who helped make the original productions of THE TIMING OF A DAY a reality and to everyone who has shown me friendship and support getting from there to here. Here’s to the beauty in together finding our way. I hope tomorrow is like today. ❤️

I am pleased to announce my play A BURIAL PLACE has been published by @concordshows and is now available for both purchase in its Acting Edition and for licensed productions. This play is very special to me and I’m so pleased it will be available for folks to read and perform. Friends! Great News! The Acting Edition of my play THE LIGHTS ARE ON has been published by @concordshows and the show will soon be available for licensing! It is now available for purchase at @dramabookshop in NYC and also online! It’s my first play to be published and it’s a great feeling. I’ll be signing the ones at DBS as they come in. I hope you’ll pick one up and give it a read. It’s perfectly suited for Spooky Season! It was just a year ago when we started work on the world premiere of THE LIGHTS ARE ON and it’s so nice to reflect on that experience as the published version goes out into the world. It was the loveliest group of people you could want to work with. I’m so grateful. Thank you @vegalteno and Embeleco Unlimited and @newlighttheaterproject for producing the show. Thank you @sarahnorris002 for your beautiful direction and @wdervish for making the run go smoothly as PSM. I’m so glad @wdervish and I got to visit @kellyclarksonshow one more time before filming on Octet begins and production on their show wraps after seven incredible seasons. @kellyclarkson is always so warm and fun to talk to and everyone at the show has been a joy to interact with over the years. I’m glad we got a chance to tell them congrats on a great run. I know Kelly will continue to pursue great projects and to record music that makes our hearts sing. And we’ll certainly be watching the show through to the finale! 👏👏👏

This is not a post I was expecting, nor hoping, to make but here we are. First of all: we’re ok. So many others are still stranded across the Middle East, and even more live there and exist among this turmoil as part of their regular lives. After receiving advice from the US Department of State that all American citizens should leave Egypt as quickly as possible, @natgeoexpeditions made the difficult decision to end our tour before our Nile River cruise started and send everyone home. The second half of our adventure begins today aboard @jazelitenilecruises Elite Regent river cruise ship. We sail south on the Nile for four days to Aswan, stopping along the way to experience more ancient Egyptian history.
