That’s a Wrap for the 2024 Superhero Comic Con!
I’d like to thank everyone, our fans, our celebs, our volunteers, our exhausted staff, talent agents, the staff at the Freeman Expo Halls and Coliseum, the Bexar County Sheriffs, Mary & our food service team, and anyone else I’m forgetting (yes, I’m exhausted too!).
Professionally speaking, the show experienced some difficult challenges due to the 2023 writers strike and actors strike. TV and film production is still very backed up and all comic cons are still struggling with securing celebs for their shows. We did better than most, but still not up to our standards, yet we are proud to have had EIGHT 😎 unicorns appear at our show this year. Fans loved meeting celebs like Orlando Bloom, Diego Luna, Iman Vellani and Walker Scobell to name a few. My dear friend Ernie Hudson was a huge hit with the Ghostbusters fandom!
The FREE autograph zone was a big hit with fans but angered some VIP’s who wanted line priority. From the time I announced this new show benefit, I also stated it was on a first-come, first-served basis. VIPs get special perks as stated in the product descriptions, but this was not one of them.
Now it’s on to
@spaceconsanantonio this coming October 25-27th at the Freeman Expo Halls. It will be a stellar intergalactic pop culture experience with the great celebrity line-up we will be having with the guests we have already secured like Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen, Rosario Dawson, and many other Star Wars, Star Trek, Guardians of the Galaxy and Stargate SG-1 guests.
