After 54 incredible performances of Stuntman over the last eight years, due to unforeseen circumstances we’ve unfortunately had to cancel the last two shows of this tour. We’re sad not to be able to do these last dates but we’ve had to prioritise looking after the whole Stuntman team.
The very first scrappy, wild, DIY version of Stuntman was created by Fox, Pete and Ellie back in 2017. Since then it’s grown to include a brilliant creative team and has undertaken two UK tours, a run at The Fringe in 2023 and performances in Sweden.
Thanks to everyone who has made it happen.
“See you in hell, motherf***ers!” 🔥

It was great to hear more about this beautiful and thoughtful research into parenting while working in the arts at @the_work_room_dance event yesterday. A really excellent resource for anyone with caring responsibilities returning to creative work!
The SUPERFAN team’s own babies/toddlers/big kids have shaped how we’ve worked together over the last ten years, and we hope to keep making space for other parents in the arts in all the roles that make performance happen.
The document also has beautiful drawings by artists children, here’s an excellent one by long term SUPERFAN friend and collaborator @scrimshawprojects and her children!
We were so glad to start the year spending some time together in person as a company at Cove Park. Chatting/planning/walking/dreaming up some new shows that we're excited to get making and bring to audiences over the next few years! Thanks for having us @cove_park , a beautiful place to work, think and create.
In January Producer Nicola, in her role as an @articulationarts board member, was part of the Beyond The Stage event at the Scottish Parliament showcasing the research findings from Articulation's new report undertaken in partnership with Queen Margaret University. It's Scotland's first ever study of Outdoor Arts, Circus and Spectacle and it's many benefits, if you're an artist/programmer/producer interested in these exciting art forms check out the report and all of Articulation's brilliant advocacy work!

SUPERFAN are casting! We're looking for a child performer (aged 7-10) for GUTS, a new intergenerational circus show by SUPERFAN. We'll be developing it later this year and bringing it to production in 2027/28.
If you know a child with an interest in performance and some experience with circus/gymnastics/dance/martial arts or movement then get in touch. Details at the link in our bio. Deadline 15th Feb!

Some snapshots of Summer when we headed over to Marsellie to start working on Guts, a new intergenerational circus duet. Thanks to JD and Hector for trying out so many early ideas, and Nikki for her Circus Consultancy, in the middle of a French heat wave! We're looking forward to revisiting Guts in Scotland 2026.
At the start of the year we began developing Ornithigonia, a new show inspired by the magic of birds, folk-horror and hope at the end of the world. Thanks to our excellent collaborators Ronan McMahon, Ben Fletcher and Fergus Dunnet for going down lots of rabbit holes for us! Photos by Brian Hartley @stillmotionarts . This development was supported by the @creativescots Open Fund.
Last week SUPERFAN Producer Nicola co-hosted a workshop with @companywolves and @fedscottheatre on touring small scale performance in Scotland. Nicola has a wealth of experience both as part of SUPERFAN and as a indendent producer, and it was great to share that knowledge with artists and companies looking to tour, and chat with other touring companies about how to make touring better. 🔫 Taking inspiration from classic and contemporary action movies such as Die Hard and John Wick to create high-octane and sometimes ridiculous fight scenes, Stuntman examines the impact that having action-hero role models has on men and boys.
