Earth Day. Today and every day.
Last week, our co-founders @chloamarie & @stuartahlum were in Washington. Textile recycling policy, waste management, R&D investment, onshoring — pushing for the policy and infrastructure that turns fashion’s waste problem into an economic opportunity.
The conversation is changing.
SuperCircle, a New York–based startup, has raised $24M in Series A funding to turn retail’s textile waste into a profitable, AI-driven operation. Founded and led by CEO Chloe Songer, the company provides a full-stack platform that analyzes unsold, returned, or damaged textiles and routes them to the best reuse or recycling options, converting what was once a cost into revenue. Partnering with brands like J.Crew, GUESS, and Reformation, SuperCircle leverages AI to create digital twins of garments, optimize recycling, and open new revenue streams, all while reducing landfill waste. The new capital, led by Foundry with participation from BBG Ventures, Renewal Fund, and Elemental Impact, will expand the platform’s technology, supply chain integrations, and retail partnerships.

Big news at SuperCircle 🚀
We’ve raised a $24M Series A to scale retail’s waste management operating system — the full-stack, AI-powered infrastructure enabling profitable, compliant, and traceable next-life outcomes at scale.
Retail is facing a structural end-of-life reckoning: $163B in unsold inventory wasted each year, and 85%+ of textiles still landfilled. SuperCircle was built to change that.
With 75+ brand partners, we’ve already diverted 6M+ textiles from landfill — and we’re on a bold path to 1B+ by 2030.
This is the operating system powering retail’s circular future. And we’re just getting started.
Huge thank you to WWD, Sourcing Journal, Tech Funding News & more for covering this milestone. 🤍♻️

Recycle your clothing on your moving day with UNIQLO, Piece of Cake Moving and SuperCircle. Moving is a fresh start—why not give your clothes one too? This Earth Month we have come together to make it easier than ever to reduce clothing waste with our UNtrash It program. Here is how it works, @marciax3nyc shares how easy it is to UnTrash It with Piece of Cake on their moving day!
How It Works
1️⃣ Book your move with Piece of Cake Moving & Storage, and in the month of April 2025 you’ll receive 4 UNtrash It Bags to “pack it forward” on your Piece of Cake moving day.
2️⃣ Fill the bags with clean clothes you no longer wear and hand them to your moving crew.
3️⃣ We’ll deliver them to the RE.UNIQLO program, powered by SuperCircle, where they’ll be sorted, upcycled, donated, or recycled into new materials.
4️⃣ Your clothes get a second life—nothing goes to waste!
5️⃣ Only place laundered clothes and textiles in the bags, no shoes, no costumes, no underwear, no food, wet items or perishable items.
Not Moving? You Can Still UNtrash It! Drop off your unwanted clothes at any UNIQLO store’s UNtrash It bin nationwide—no bag required!
