My first ever podcast as a guest šŸŽ™ļøšŸ˜›: thank you @becomingsanjay @vyasamedianetwork for the platform to share a piece of my story where I talk about my life in the UK, the journey I embarked coming back to Nepal after a decade and the transition that followed. On another note, I haven’t had much time to reflect for a while but the little windows where I have, this somewhat feels like a milestone. End of the day, I am just someone who took a leap of faith and mustered up just enough courage to leave behind comfort in pursuit of my passion of making videos and storytelling. I am a flawed individual and far from perfect and I don’t believe that I am any better than anyone reading this right now but I do believe that there are takeaways from my journey thus far- whether its following your passion, importance of getting back to your roots and giving back, the liberty of slow travelling, understanding that healing is not a linear process or just the fact that life starts outside of your comfort zone. I hope that this podcast and my work online has a positive impact on you and trust that you too are capable of doing everything I have been doing and much more. anyways, the podcast was a blast from start to end with the amazing @pratikchakarki . you can watch the full video on youtube.com/@becomingsanjay P.S @becomingsanjay @pratikchakarki the lake trip with current šŸœ, MOMO and hammocks is pending šŸ‘€šŸ¤ŖšŸ¤Ŗā€Ø Much love, Supath šŸ’Œ

My quiet homecoming. šŸ“šŸŽ„ I recently had the chance to visit my ancestral village Luitel, Gorkha for the very first time. Growing up, my paternal grandma used to tell me stories about how she, my dad, and his siblings grew up there. As a kid, I never really left Kathmandu, so Gorkha always felt like a distant place from a different life. But this year, I finally got to see it for myself on the occasion of Kul Puja- a traditional Hindu ritual performed to worship and honour one’s ancestral deities. It was during the precious interactions during my time there where I had this quiet epiphany: Going back to your roots isn’t just about the past, it’s a journey inward, through your own identity. It helped me understand where I come from, appreciate my culture and values, and build deeper connections with family, tradition, and most importantly—with myself. You know… like a wise man once said: ā€œSometimes, to really know who you are, you have to go back to where it all began.ā€ #nepal #travelstories #gorkha #travel #nepali

a year ago, I decided it was time for a change so I saved up as much as I could, left my 9-5 job and bought myself a one way ticket to Nepal!šŸ‡³šŸ‡µ what preceded it was a thorough conversation with my well wishers on my intentions and a lot of internal battles surrounding the risks, uncertainty and instability this journey brought. I always thought the bigger risk would have been for me to stay the same and not exploring what else life has in store. Even if all fails, I knew I would be content with my attempt at giving this a fair shot. And so I left. At it’s core I wanted an outright change and a break from my mundane routine and sought a challenge- a challenge that forces me to not only to adapt to any given environment but also one that leads to a deep introspection to navigate my life from. At that time, I was yearning a solo travel adventure and to volunteer and utilise my skills to give back to a community hence going Nepal was the perfect choice as I had not been there for the past 13 years. This would also give me an opportunity to immerse myself in my roots and culture, live slow and experience Nepal without any time restrictions. In the midst of doing so, I also followed through with my passion of making videos and storytelling as I documented my own journey. The past 12 months has been an accumulation of highs and lows as well as meaningful connections, relationships and experiences that I am eternally grateful for. Furthermore, I am also grateful for mustering up the courage to take that leap of faith a year ago because end of the day, change is scary but so is staying the same. #travel #nepal #slowtravel #reels

I’m so excited to announce another special screening of my documentary film 777 NEPAL on Saturday, 23rd May 2026 at Taragaon Next, Boudhanath Road, Kathmandu. This is my first ever feature documentary film, and a project that became one of the most challenging and meaningful experiences I’ve ever taken on. Over the course of 10 days in February 2025, I followed a group of runners attempting an extraordinary feat: completing 7 marathons in 7 days across all 7 provinces of Nepal. I directed, shot, and edited this film completely solo which meant long days on the road, sleepless nights editing, countless trial and errors, and figuring things out as I went. There were moments of exhaustion and doubt, but those moments also became what made this journey so special. More than anything, this film is about endurance, resilience, and the human spirit. What these runners pushed through physically and mentally over those seven days was truly inspiring, and I feel incredibly grateful that I got to tell their story. Would love for you all to come experience this journey with us. šŸ“ Taragaon Next, Boudhanath Road, Kathmandu šŸ—“ Saturday, 23rd May 2026 ā° 5:30 PM šŸŽŸ Tickets: Rs. 205 Limited seating capacity available. See you there!

I met my grandma again after 16 years. But what do you even say to someone you haven’t seen in that long? Especially when that someone is your grandma. #nepal #storytelling #explore

As kids, we were often asked how school was or how our grades were, but rarely what made us happy. So I went out and asked around 70 kids exactly that. Thank you to @cyfnepal and Emerald English School for helping bring this little happiness project to life! ā˜€ļø Full video on my youtube channel: Supath Shrestha

What a blessing it was to celebrate this years holi with the kids at the @ocpfn orphanage. Having lived abroad for 18 years, I’ve always longed to celebrate holi in Nepal the way I did as a kid. This year, I was fortunate not only to experience that firsthand but also to use my skills to give back alongside the amazing and ever inspiring team at @ancientsecretsfoundation . The Ancient Secrets Foundation supports orphanages to help vulnerable children, young adults transitioning out of care, victims escaping trafficking, animals in need, the homeless, and other important causes. Currently, they support over 350 children across nine orphanages in Nepal. Being surrounded by laughter, smiles and pure joy radiating from the children. I couldn’t have asked for a better day. Thank you universe ✨ #holi #nepal #gratitude

why does it feel like strangers support you more than the people you know? When you start sharing your work, whether it’s art, a project, or even just a new version of yourself you might notice that strangers often show up more than the people you know. Not because your friends or family don’t care. They do. But you know, life is… busy And sometimes, the people closest to us are seeing us through an older lens, one that hasn’t fully caught up to who we’re becoming. Strangers don’t carry any of that. They meet you in the present. They see you as you are now, through what you’re creating in this moment. They see the work, the intention, the effort. without history, without expectations. In the end, support isn’t about who’s known you longest rather who sees you clearly. And maybe that’s the secret: the right people find you, right where you are.

I met these sweetest bajais almost two years ago while doing a series where I’d take photos of strangers, print them, and give them back. Since then, every time I’m in Patan, I always make sure to stop by their stall for a quick hello that somehow always turns into longer chats and random conversations. I’ve brought friends along, introduced them and now it’s just become a thing lol. Came back again today, and of course, we had to take another photo together!
