Success is not only about “me,” but about “us.” Encouragement matters just as much, because a few positive words can give a child the courage to try again, help a teammate, and believe in themselves during difficult moments. Kids thrive when they feel trusted, supported, and valued, and through teamwork, responsibility, and kindness, they learn the confidence and character that will guide them throughout life.
There was a boy who carried more courage than money in his pocket.
In the suitcase, few clothes. In the heart, a huge dream.
He had only one one-way ticket to a distant country, where everything was strange: the streets, the customs and especially the language he didn’t understand.
When the plane took off, he left behind his homeland, friends, family hugs and the smell of the house where he grew up.
There were no guarantees.
There was no certainty of success.
There was only hope of building a better life.
The first few days were difficult.
He didn’t understand people and people didn’t understand him.
He often smiled without knowing what they were saying.
He often cried hidden so that no one would notice the longing that squeezed his chest.
Without money, he accepted heavy work, slept tired and faced days when he thought about giving up.
But every time I remembered my parents and the simple life I had left behind, I found the strength to continue.
The months turned into years.
The years turned into a whole decade.
Ten years without hugging their parents.
Ten years without stepping on the earth itself.
Ten years seeing birthdays, parties and important moments only through a screen.
While many saw only one immigrant trying to survive, inside him there was a silent warrior building the impossible with his own hands.
And it was precisely this fight that transformed his story.
Today, that boy lives a dream that one day seemed too distant.
He conquered stability, pride and a life that previously only existed in the imagination.
He learned a new language, overcame fear and proved to himself that courage is worth more than any wealth.
But above all achievements, he never forgot where he came from.
Because the real winner is not the one who never fell.
It’s the one who went through longing, fear and loneliness...
And yet he kept walking.
No judgment—just encouragement. That’s what makes this place special. Everyone’s on their own journey, but we move forward together. It’s more than training, it’s real brotherhood—lifting each other up, staying humble, and growing side by side.
Merit is born from constant effort, even when no one is looking. Each step taken with discipline builds something bigger, even if the results take time to appear. Persisting, learning from mistakes and moving forward transforms progress into consequence, not chance.
But behind many achievements, there is also the silent effort of parents - those who open paths, make sacrifices and create opportunities for their children to go further. This support does not take away the merit; it strengthens the basis on which individual effort grows.
In the end, the positive result is the sum of dedication, opportunity and courage not to give up.
San Francisco, what an incredible energy! 🔥
The seminar was simply exceptional — a very high level on the mats. Dedicated, technical athletes with a real desire to evolve.
It was an honor to share this moment with you. See you next time! 👊
