Who’s bankrolling Sharif Street’s campaign? Surprise —it’s Republicans!
You can tell a lot about a politician by who opens their wallet for them. And when a Democratic candidate for Congress is backed by major Republican donors, working people should pay attention.
The people funding anti-worker policies, union busting, and tax breaks for the wealthy don’t suddenly become champions of progress. They invest in candidates they believe will protect their interests. They believe that person is Sharif Street.
That’s not grassroots support. That’s the same political machine protecting the status quo while ordinary people get left behind.
