About 5 years ago, Blacktooth found our new home in a little place called @sunnysbackyard . Since then, Sunny’s has played host to countless shows including a ton of ours and many more with the other talented musicians in our community and beyond. I could not be more bummed that they’ll be shuttering for good later this month, but I’m grateful for one more chance to play their stage with some of our closest friends in Austin music.
To the people of Sunny’s, we love you and we appreciate you more than you know. We’re losing a bar but we gained a family, and we’re proud to be a part of the legacy of the greatest bar in Austin!
We’ll see all of you THIS SATURDAY! Just one more for the road… 🍻
Sometimes you find yourself in the middle of a fleeting moment that you wish would never end, but you know can’t last forever.
These past five years have been that for us.
They have been full of joy, pain, excitement, dread, and everything in between. We have made countless memories over many nights filled with drinks, food, music, laughs, cries, stories, games, weddings, and much much more. Some strangers became our closest friends. Some acquaintances become our lovers and life partners. And a team of rag tag kids became a family, constantly working together to solve the next problem and keep the show rolling. However, it’s time for that show to come to an end.
Saturday, November 22nd will be the last day of Sunny’s Backyard. On behalf of everyone that has ever been a part of our team, we want to thank you. If we ever had the chance to share a drink, a bite, a laugh & even a cry together.. Thank you. It has truly been a pleasure and we love each and every one of you.
