In these pages the Cuckoo is a clock, a pendulum; only irregular, wild, responsive: a visitor - as we all are dear reader, and we must not forget.
It is the sixteenth of May in the year two thousand and twenty six CE.
The night sky is moonless & black with stars, black as the hare Bipalium’s eyes; dark as the future.

Movement study with sorry, tree's cookies - A needed pause in the process of stripping back each year of fibre - Have been taking the time to punch small lines into the cross sections so I can better read each year - & here I wanted to bring another process; body to body. Studying with wood is pour sensorium.
Thinking how I can translate these felt studies to artwork that gets shared- How to process this process in a way that reflects what's gone on here.
Small unprocessed text from the study:
two cookies / a batch
overlapping x rail sleepers pelvis
overlapping South and North
Catalpa trees
shelf nail got under brush pull
the tilt of the slant how you lent
like I ate and will eat shoot
which looping captain many tables
seesaw edges holds reach
section roll across sweet study
this is how I chip you this is how
you fell
5 screenshots from video footage of study. A white woman/person is on the floor balancing/holding/moving with a tree cookie. Another cookie is in the foreground.
Closer photo of a tree cookie where you can see lines have been punched to accentuate the tree rings.
