It may be mid October but at Sunlight Studio, ‘tis the holiday season! As holiday minis kickoff for a lot of photographers we’ve got our trees back! Our approach to holiday set up in the studio is minimal, and very DIY- you can use our trees with any of our beautiful backdrops and furniture to create your own unique combination to make your mini special instead of the same set up dozens of other photographers are using!

Taking pictures with a toddler and a baby can feel wild—like you’re negotiating with tiny, adorable chaos. Most of the time it feels like you’re just trying to convince them to smile or sit still for half a second, and you walk away thinking, Did we get anything?!
But here’s the truth: just being together is beautiful, even in the chaos. And every once in a while, they all look at the camera, and for that… we celebrate.

I’m so behind on posting lately — ever since our family trip to Italy, it’s felt like non-stop catch-up mode. This weekend I had mini sessions planned outdoors, but thanks to some last-minute rain, we shifted to a studio… and honestly, it might have been even better that way!

While we do have winter/holiday set ups, we keep it simple. This way, you can bring your own flair to your clients holiday photos. They aren’t going to be in the same set that other photographers are using that are identical. You can mix the trees and the holiday arch, change the seating options, bring in some cozy blankets, or even wrap a little garland around our rustic trees! We provide a nice space with a little winter magic, but YOU bring your own style and personality to it!
While we are all about those fall feels, the holidays are right around the corner and our space makes for not only great Christmas or winter photos, but a beautiful space for keeping warm for sessions once the weather turns!
