下午還在焦頭爛額趕工混音時,就被友人恭喜並告知入圍了,作品是「看不見的國家」(Invisible Nation ),老實說是意料之外的,不是因為品質問題,是因為這個是疫情期間的作品,很久了以後才出版,久到我熊熊忘記這部是今年參賽!很感謝我當初的錄音夥伴幾米(Jimmy)跟哈庫克,我好像那時候才剛認識他們!也謝謝我 NYU 的學姊許瑋珊(本張專輯的作曲大師兼專輯製作人)的邀請,才能有這個機會被帶飛!也很感謝這次錄音的所有樂手,太久遠了但我記得都是國內菁英中的精英老師們!感謝感謝再感謝!
It's very honored to be nominated "Best Recording of the Year" by the original soundtrack "Invisible Nation", composed by Wei-San Hsu! It's truly happiness that I could have a chance to work with the most talented and well-known composer and musicians at this project. Also I'd like to thank to Jimmy and Hakuk's help, thank you so much for the helps (We just got to know each other at the moment we recorded the project together!)
我記得跟好夥伴張玹開發這個專案已經好幾年了,從一開始雖然好像懂但完全無法理解的創作形式和概念,到現在完完整整一整套 32 聲道現場即時互動式表演藝術,其實真的滿感動的!
大家對我的認識可能普遍是錄音、製作、母帶、影視、遊戲等等形式,這次我受好夥伴的邀請,在兩年前開始跟廣達集團的 AI 部門菁英們開始合作這個專案的後段程式設計,包含觸發後機制、聲響效果即時互動機制、客製寫了幾組效果器、聲音及音場設計、錄、混音、還有規劃並設計 32 聲道的整體聲響呈現概念、方式等等,我個人覺得很值得一看(聽)。
本周一直忙到剛剛才有空想了一下,發現我完全還沒宣傳!
周末的票幾乎都賣完了,本周五還有票(周日也有但剩一點點)很好奇是甚麼的,其實滿推薦本周末(五、六、日都有)來高雄衛武營戲劇廳看看我這幾年偷偷在做些什麼,哈哈!!期待與各位相見!
It’s hard to believe Shiuan Chang and I have been developing this project for several years now. We’ve come a long way—from those early days when I was still trying to grasp the avant-garde concepts and forms, to now, having a fully realized 32-channel real-time interactive performing arts system. It’s truly a moving experience to see it all come together.
While many of you might know me primarily for my work in recording, production, mastering, or audio for film and games, this project took me on a different journey. At the invitation of my dear partner, I’ve spent the last two years collaborating with the elite AI team at Quanta Group. My role involved the backend programming—designing trigger mechanisms, real-time interactive sound effects, custom-built plugins, soundscape and soundstage design, as well as the recording, mixing, and the overall conceptual framework for the 32-channel presentation. Honestly, I think it’s something truly worth experiencing.
I’ve been so caught up in the work that it only just hit me—I haven't even promoted it yet!
Tickets for the weekend are nearly sold out, but there are still seats available for this Friday (and a few left for Sunday). 去年飛了幾個學生來紐約,今年換學生飛我來韓國演講,很高興學生程典能慢慢茁壯,憑著自己的能力去完成自己想要做到的事,這趟去韓國原本沒抱什麼期待,但看同學辦這麼認真,想說來看一下,也見一下當初一起在紐約奮鬥的摯友 Sean Kim ,結果Sean 超挺,三天地陪都在帶我們一起去一些比較 local 和音樂人會喜歡的地方,例如帶我去看了一場傳奇歌手在巨蛋的演出,例如隔天也帶我們去他在江南還沒開張(目前都只接認識的案子,正要正式開張)超美的錄音室,然後吃了很多當地人才會去的餐廳,害我一直在想下次他來台灣要怎麼帶他繞 😂😂😂
無論如何還是很開心看到程典慢慢能獨當一面,接洽韓國在地場地(很讚的文創區域 KOTE, 聽說也是 shared campus在韓國的合作場地)、接洽在地藝術家一起共創等等,他現在也在韓國繼續奮戰單曲的錄音、混音,真的是很值得期待的一位年輕人!也謝謝韓文其實比程典好很多的育倢可以協助很多的接洽和翻譯,真的是收穫滿滿的一趟旅程!
Very glad my student End Chung invited me to give a lecture/ talk at KOTE, Seoul, it's my first time to be Seoul so I felt super excited! My friend Sean is super nice and welcome us so I almost don't have to worry about the localized experience! He took me to legendary singer's concert with vip seat and also his own new 7.1.4 studio, what a brother!
Anyway, super grateful trip that I see not only how good my student End Chung developed but good old friend! What a trip!

This special event brings together two key practitioners in contemporary Taiwanese music production, alongside a live performance, to explore how sound, music, and cultural sensibility are shaped through practice.
이 특별한 행사는 대만 현대 음악 제작 현장에서 활발히 활동해 온 두 명의 실천가와 라이브 퍼포먼스를 한 자리에 초대하여, 사운드와 음악, 그리고 문화적 감성이 실제 창작과 제작의 과정 속에서 어떻게 형성되고 확장되는지를 함께 살펴본다.
The background music “Stillness Love” is a film theme song produced by SiNg Wu, with lyrics and composition by End Chung, and recorded by Shao-Ting Sun.
The song depicts a father’s unconditional and selfless love for his child and is performed by Taiwan’s acclaimed singer Ricky Hsiao. As a visually impaired artist, his participation forms a profound and resonant connection with the exhibition’s curatorial theme, Flattened and Re-shaped.
배경 음악 〈Stillness Love〉는 SiNg Wu가 프로듀싱하고, End Chung이 작사·작곡, Shao-Ting Sun이 레코딩한 영화 주제가이다. 이 곡은 아버지가 아이에게 보내는 조건 없는 이타적인 사랑을 담아내며, 대만을 대표하는 보컬리스트 Ricky Hsiao가 노래했다. 시각장애를 지닌 아티스트인 Ricky Hsiao의 참여는 전시의 큐레이션 주제인 〈Flattened and Re-shaped〉와 깊이 맞닿아 있다.
很高興我參與配樂錄音及混音的「風的前奏」入圍了金馬獎最佳動畫!謝謝親愛有才的作曲家明學老師一直以來的信任和邀請、勤倫老師很棒的 final mix, 也一定要謝謝小珊導演一直都能做出這麼棒的作品!第一次看到最終完成版本後,我真的是少見的流下了淚水,可能是因為旅行和志向剛好打到年輕時我的心情,大家金馬影展千萬別錯過這部片,真是太棒了!
I'm super honored to be told that "Rocked by the Wind" an animation that I recorded and mixed for original soundtrack, got nominated by Gold Horse Awards "Best Animation of the Year" (equivalent to Taiwanese Oscar) thanks to my NYU fellow Mitch Lin's invitation for having me in the team, and super thanks to the talented director Hsiao Shan for bringing such a touching animation to our world. And of course thanks to Chin Lun Kao for final mixed the sound!

English is below, super quick briefing: I just won Taiwanese Grammys (Golden Melody Awards) - Best Engineer of the Year! Can't be more thankful!
很高興自己今年又獲得了傳藝金曲獎的最佳錄音獎!得知自己得獎後很開心又很吃驚,恰逢自己剛好在飛機上(其實原本是用飛機很爛的免費網路看網路小說),在心情沉澱以後,懷著感恩的心寫下了以下感言:
首先,我最要先謝謝從紐約時期以來,就一直找我挑戰很創新的案子的兄弟張玹,能讓我在平常應用及學習的音樂製作技能上,挑戰於不同的聲響構造及想法,他每次都會在專案中帶給我很多新的嘗試與驚喜,我每次都會順口抱怨兩句「好麻煩唷」後默默開始茶不思飯不想的思考收、錄、混音的製作方式(別誤會,因為我們已經合作十幾個專案了真的很熟才敢這樣,哈哈)。也很高興他第一次回台灣出版專輯就入圍製作人和專輯大獎,他的才華遠遠不止於此,但「安土」這張專輯已經足夠讓我享受,到現在仍然是我半夜很累的時候開車,或需要寧靜時聆聽的好專輯。
再來我要謝謝這次一起提拔及栽培我的長輩們:鍾永豐老師、毓芬姐,以及敦仁醫院胡院長,因為這張專輯雖然是藝術專輯,但在審美上又很想符合給病友們聽的、具有溫暖度的色彩的審美,鍾老師在母帶後期給予我不少想法上的建議及鼓勵,讓我能夠好好鎮心完成最後的收尾工作。毓芬姐則是在錄音製作階段就給予了我們非常多的支持,我到現在還沒辦法忘記他安排的無論是行程、旅宿、中間休息的茶點有多美妙,我現在沒事都還會想到那幾天的早餐(可能是因為很少吃早餐所以特別懷念)。而胡院長對於人文及藝術的見解與展望,更是讓我感動,真的很少或幾乎沒碰到過會願意這麼用心在精神疾患病友上人文關懷的雄才大略與溫暖。
接著依舊要謝謝我的恩師們:在台灣時期的對我最好的楊敏奇老師、饒瑞舜老師、古典錄音入門帶領過我很多的珍惠,還有我最重要的Mentor林姿瑩老師,要不是這些老師,我這輩子不可能有這個衝動出去國外挑戰與唸書,Micky 與饒老師讓我看到了國際的製作高度、姿瑩老師則是在我最脆弱、最沒有自信的時候大大的推了我一把,在我還沒意識到自己未來有一天會出國之前,就已經安排大基等攝影老師幫我拍了一系列錄音的幕後花絮和作品集,讓我後面才有作品集素材可以使用。恩師絕對不能錯過我在紐約大學真正開始領略聲音製作及科技如何將領域融合奧妙的 Paul Geluso,他總是讓我覺得製作是超級好玩的是,也讓我把這份感動帶給我的學生,以及我最重要的恩師 Leszek Wojcik, 帶給我非常濃厚的底蘊及素養,無論是錄音、紐約的生活方式、與合作夥伴的工作方式、身為一個職人的素養、活到老學到老的精神、還有很多生活中的大小事(例如怎麼在紐約省錢及賺錢等等),都是他教我的。
在此,把這份榮耀獻給我的老師們!
也當然不能錯過靖儀跟奕聞超級精彩的演奏,沒有他們世界級的演奏家,我們根本無法好好完成!也謝謝他們全心的信任,完全沒有干涉我們剪接的決策,完全讓我跟張玹能站在他心中更大的藍圖下去完成更全面的想法,但老實說,他們真的太厲害了,我們幾乎只是在挑哪個感覺好,不是在剪錯音。
接著要謝謝我最棒的夥伴及學生組成的製作團隊:本次擔任助理錄音製作人暨剪接師的桌球(快要請不起了,他現在真的是超猛超紅的作曲家和製作人)、永遠都非常高效及專業、好像總是能讀我心完成我希望的系統設計的 呂進榮,還有永遠最可靠、其實也超級懂音樂自己做的聲音也很猛的系統工程師祖閩 。學生的部分,則是要謝謝學期中百忙中抽空而來的凱馨 Cathy Chen及 昱棋Shih Yu-Chi 全程高效及積極參與、超級幫了大忙!以及架設日當天來回的程典 Cheng-Tien Chung,希望這個從頭到尾的製作經驗,也可以給你們的人生旅程一些靈感,也謝謝布魯克林萊姆音樂科技新聘錄音師、也是我北藝大的畢業學生凱馨在我沒有什麼具體的得獎感言(因為其實真的沒料到自己會得獎加上在瑞士行程後面幾天是朝九凌晨十二點實在太忙)的情況下,還可以這麼有台風地幫我把感謝致詞說得這麼好!

最後,還是要感謝我的家人,我的父母親、兄長、對我最好的阿姨、姑姑、姑丈、舅舅、跟我很好的公務員表妹,還有我最重要的外婆,沒有你們我走不到得到第二個金曲獎個人獎項。
其實我真的沒料到自己今年會贏,原本已經對於獎項非常釋懷,主要是因為還有很多很棒的作品也入圍,包含同是米家班的師弟妹:紋聲團隊的孝親、思妤、以及佳興、偉雄、立勤,還有包含育聖、泰康老師等等超猛的前輩們,能得獎是覺得自己真的很幸運,也非常感謝評審的青睞,非常感謝。競爭很激烈,每天告訴自己畢竟入圍就是肯定了。但我心中有很多想做的事情,希冀除了每天挑戰製作外,還能有點餘力讓台灣這片薈萃的土地能夠更好。例如我昨晚會在飛機上,就是因為去瑞士首府藝術大學蘇黎世藝術大學 Zhdk 投入一些很重要的工作坊及技術聚會,導致行程不得已延誤歸國。
最近錄音、混音包含杜比全景聲的「傳奇雙擊」,很榮幸被 Apple Music 榮登首頁,大家有全景聲系統的快去聽聽看唷唷唷唷唷(還是要推一下聽speaker-based system的聽覺感受會很有意思)!

真的很榮幸去年可以跟這群最棒的夥伴一起釋出這張專輯,一直到現在我開車沒事都還會聽,也真的很幸運能得到評審老師們再一次的鼓勵入圍!(原本想說二重奏的組合樂器比較少,雖然儘管在音場捕捉的矩陣設計的很努力,但應該沒啥機會)看來是 Shiuan Chang 精彩的作品 + William Wei - 魏靖儀 及 Evan Wong 精湛的演奏 Carry 了我。同時這也是台灣第二張在我製作中入圍【最佳演奏家】的專輯,兩位演奏者精湛的世界級演奏水平,讓我不經意地秉住呼吸、盡可能的不碰太多剪接,才有可能達成這種自然的靈魂結果,也謝謝各位夥伴的信任!
【安土】是一張跟身心靈成長與平衡有關係的新古典創作演奏專輯,作曲家暨製作人張玹用了看似平易近人,但實質非常有意思的手法譜寫了這張專輯,很推薦大家去看我下面附上連結的音樂家的無聊人生 Musician Seacow 的頻道的曲解!我很幸運的在大學時期念了心理系,在同理的過程,也嘗試著用我所理解的邏輯,去詮釋本張專輯的聲響。
