No.2/20 - After learning much from Tallac, we committed to upping the ante with Pyramid Peak. Water was in good supply but a new challenge presented itself - the weather. Conditions called for a 30% chance of rain in the late afternoon, but by the time we had summited and where half-way through our decent around 1pm, severe hail and lightning struck the area. With over 5 miles back to the trail head we were battered, bruised, and soaked but it was yet another gift from Mother Nature that allowed us to complete another #SierraSummitSessions (Canadian flag was a gag for the group when we got to the top.)
No.1/20 - Back in the day - the first summit attempt with no idea what we were getting ourselves into. Half-way up the summit our water was already gone from underestimating the exertion the trail required. Fortunately there were still patches of snow left on the northern facing slopes we scrambled through and we were able to pack our bottles with snow and carry on. The thrill of reaching the top sparked a new and relentless passion that inspired my #SierraSummitSessions
