Come join the good doctor (portrayed by David Emerson) as he recounts tales of his adventures and accomplishments. Of course, since he is a man of so many interests, memories, and talents, it is almost impossible to pin him down to any specific topic. It is highly likely, however, that his talk will include anecdotes of his childhood in Boston, his youth in Philadelphia, his scientific experiments, and his experiences at the Constitutional Convention.

We were thrilled to host Pyrenesia for an unforgettable performance filled with energy, artistry, and heart! This acoustic swing quartet brought their signature blend of original compositions and singer-songwriter melodies to life, weaving together influences of gypsy jazz, klezmer, and tango into a vibrant musical journey.

A fantastic turnout at yesterday’s AAPI Heritage Month Celebration! The performances were stunning, and it was wonderful to see our community come together for Summit’s first major outdoor event of 2026. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table and checked out our Book Bike, and to the Summit Department of Community Programs for organizing such a great event.

Carol Simon Levin brought history to life as Catharine “Caty” Greene, the indomitable wife of Nathanael Greene, one of Gen. George Washington’s most valued officers. From following the Continental Army across New Jersey, to sharing laughter with officers, and even dancing for hours with George Washington, Caty’s story revealed the energy, resilience, and spirit of a woman who truly lived the Revolution. A big thank you to Carol Simon Levin and the Beacon Fire chapter of the DAR for making last week's program unforgettable! The audience was absolutely thrilled.

It's Take Action for Libraries Day! The fourth day of National Library Week seeks to rally advocates to support libraries. Today, we're highlighting two incredible organizations: The Friends of the Summit Free Public Library and The Summit Free Public Library Foundation. They have been our staunchest advocates and supporters, and our Library would not be the same without them. From our past and future renovations to the ever-popular Giant Donated Jewelry Sales, their contributions have truly gone above and beyond. Want to go the extra mile in supporting our Library? Learn more about them and consider a gift if you're able, or even joining them: /fol/ /sfplfoundation/
