Fin Box | an original mixed media wall sculpture built on a cradled birch box, 8×8 inches. A salvaged vintage surfboard fin floats slightly off the back panel on a wooden dowel — casting its own shadow, breathing within the frame. One fin came back from the ocean still wearing it. Marine encrustation, sea-worn black surface, a life fully lived in the water. The other I sanded down and painted.
