New production design for @swaelee “Same Difference” album campaign ️We shot this during the coldest weekend in Miami in 117 years. We squeezed 6 setups into one studio, Alex named the baby gator ‘Nerf’, Samm made us all jerk wings, and Joe took amazing pics of it all. Some years ago I set designed some of the pieces in the Idyllic Space collection, this year the exhibition just ended at the High Museum in ATL. Huge heartwarming milestone for me to see some of my work in my hometown museum- there have been a lot of moments of gratitude throughout my years of production designing but this was a major one for sure. One night last spring, I was up late working on this stage design. I was feeling super discouraged, and I just happened to be watching this episode of How to With John Wilson in the background. This part came up and their perspective changed everything for me We didn’t end up using this design but I still think about these women constantlyIt IS art! It’s always art!
