This is my one and only best shot so far. Actually it was supposed to be just a snapshot in the morning in front of Asakusabashi-Station, but somehow this went onto the negative. Thanks old man, for trying to get customers this morning.

The last frame from my B&W film I shot in Japan. It’s really not a good photo by any means. The focus is off, aperture too wide, wonky framing, but I still like it a lot. To me it has soul. Maybe because I can remember the very moment the photo was taken. A calm day in Nikko with Satomi and Pascal. One of my fondest memories ever.
Even though located in Nara this old café gives me serious country side vibes and holy do I miss it.
Btw I think I might start using white borders on my posts again to fully destroy my feed lol.

Another day, another inspiring old man in Asakusa.
Probably nobody reads photo captions on Instagram anyway: The last days/weeks have been pretty tough. I struggled an awful lot and still do and the more I struggle, the more I wish myself back to Japan. To me it really helps keeping up the inspiration for my photography and my photography sometimes feels like the only way of true expression I have.
This year's Nikko visit was such a blessing. Hanging out with my absolute besties @pallo_turner and @nagatas3103 while enjoying the pure calmness of this place was really a treat. Also the Spacia X is just soooo nice (especially if you're used to DB).
