When my dear friend Sumant Jayakrishnan came up the idea of creating unique items with beautiful & unused brocade that was leftover from his wedding decor, I jumped with excitement and began thinking of what I could design immediately. The best part of this project was that we were going to donate a percentage of sales to someone we both greatly admire - Anjali Gopalan ( who is the founder of 2 NGO’s - The Naz Foundation’care home’ as well as All creatures great and small) Animal shelter.

We are proud to share that Varad Bang (@varadbang ) is enlisted in Elle India’s (@elleindia ) Fashion Class Of 2025- Celebrating 2025’s most defining voices in Fashion.
This feature comes as an upshot of Varad’s debut solo exhibition with the Gallery earlier in 2025. Bang painted scenes of Wong Kar Wai’s magnum opus, In The Mood For Love. The artist painted scenes of solitude, contemplation and romance with the fashion and emotion of his subjects being the primary focus. Collaborating with maestro set-maker Sumant Jayakrishnan (@sumantjayakrishnan ), the gallery was transformed into a Hong Kong styled apartment - as seen in the film. The curatorial essay was written by Mumbai based Priyanka Khanna (@priyankaskhanna )
